Software Freedom Day 2007

We would like to invite you, your faculty, and your 15 student representatives to join us in celebrating Software Freedom Day 2007 this coming September 15 at the University of Southeastern Philippines.

We will mark Software Freedom Day with presentations, demonstrations, and tutorials. Product demonstrations and presentations commence at 10:00am. The main lectures start at 1:30pm.

And, of course, we will be giving out free software, too. (CDs are limited but your representatives can bring their own media, e.g., USB flash drives, we will be happy to make copies for them.)

Software Freedom Day is an annual worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Advocates take this day to recognize the virtues of free software and encourage its use among the general public. You can find out more about Software Freedom Day at http://www.softwarefreedomday.org.

Details of local activities are posted at http://www.minfoss.info.

Looking forward to seeing you at Software Freedom Day!

Sincerely,

Maureen M. Mamilic
Dean, USEP - Institute of Computing
